Johannesburg is the largest city in South Africa and is also the largest city in the world that’s not in proximity to a lake, river, or ocean. One of the best nature reserves in Johannesburg is Lion Park, which is home to over 70 lions as well as many other animals such as cheetahs, zebras, hyenas, impalas, and antelopes.

For tourists, the must-see attraction in Johannesburg is the Gold Reef City amusement park, located just a few miles South of the Central Business District. The most popular rides in the park are the Anaconda, Jozi Express, Golden Loop, and Tower of Terror. There is also a museum in the amusement park where visitors can see actual gold being poured into barrels and solidifying.
